I am a small person with big dreams
Through the practice of yoga I’ve been able to connect to an inner strength that I didn’t know I had.
Drawn by the natural beauty and endless outdoor activity that Whistler has to offer, I moved to the mountains in 2005. I started doing yoga regularly in 2007 and fell in love with the practice. Although it begins with the physical body, yoga offers a multidimentional experience.
For me, yoga provides an opportunity to purify and release what is inharmonious in my body and mind; creating space and freeing up energy to live a happy, healthy, and more fulfilling life. My yoga practice has been an ongoing path towards the truth.
There is an innate wisdom in the body and it will always take the path of least resistance and lead towards life and love. Through the practice of yoga I’ve been able to connect to an inner strength that I didn’t know I had. A yoga practice is an amazing tool for empowerment, growth and understanding. I am passionate about sharing this practice and its benefits.
Yoga Is A
Way Of Life
My teachings draw from a collaboration of trainings:
I completed my first 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2009 and began teaching different styles of classes, in both public and private settings shortly after. Through workshops and trainings in the Vancouver area, and a 300 Hour immersion in November 2013, I acquired my certification as an E-RYT 500.
Prior to my yoga training, I completed degrees in Kinesiology and Early Childhood Education. Combined with over 10 years of teaching experience, my studies in science allow me to merge a deep understanding of body mechanics with yoga philosophy and breath work to help students access a state of calm and balance.
